Optical Lab Manager
Matt came aboard as Weber Vision Care’s lab manager in 2012, and has been in the optical business for over twenty years. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Millersville University, he chose to pursue a full-time career in the optical lab where he had been working part-time since high school. Originally from Halifax, Matt now resides in Hummelstown. He enjoys traveling to different breweries, sampling their products, and watching the Hershey Bears. Any additional free time is spent either at the gym or on the pistol range, polishing his skills.

Deb’s favorite brands are the Lindberg and Vera Bradley lines, because they’re light and very durable, with lots of great colors and patterns.

Lab Technician (Emeritus)
Gerry has been a lab technician and optician for over forty five years, and has worked in the optical laboratory for Weber Vision Care and its affiliated organizations since 1965. Over that time, Gerry has been responsible for ordering, grinding, finishing and edging lenses for tens of thousands of central Pennsylvania eyes. Gerry recently retired from full time duty at Weber Vision Care, but will be helping us out occasionally when we need his help. If you see Gerry on the street, you should thank him for actually being able to see him on the street.
Shannon joined the Weber Vision Care team in fall of 2016. A Cumberland Valley High School graduate, Shannon grew up in the Mechanicsburg/Carlisle area. Shannon started in the optical profession back in 2012. She has three kids– Chloe, Rileigh, and Gaige. Her boyfriend, Jeff, has two kids– Anthony and Alex. Shannon reports that she enjoys cooking (but she’s not the greatest at it!) and is a huge fan of The Walking Dead and scary movies. When she’s not at Weber Vision Care helping you see better (and more stylishly), she enjoys decorating her new home, going out to eat, shopping, getting her nails done, and spending time with her kids. In the summer, Shannon goes down south to visit her mom for a week.

Piper, who graduated from Mechanicsburg High School recently (we won’t tell you what year so you won’t get as depressed as we did), is our newest optician! Piper, who has been in the optical profession since the beginning of 2015, continues to study and is working toward a degree in Political Science. She loves traveling to different places to try new food (so she’ll fit right in with the rest of us), especially Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia. When away from work, Piper enjoys going to concerts and spending time at home with her dog and two cats. We’ll update you with her favorite brands of eyewear after she’s been here a bit longer…

Jane has been with Weber Vision Care since 1988. Jane works with you if you have any questions about your billing or insurance coverage. Jane has four children and eight grandchildren; so naturally her free time is devoted to family and exercise. Jane has lived in several different states, including ten years in Arizona. We must be doing okay, since she’s stayed here since 1988. Jane’s favorite brand is the Lindberg line of spectacles, because they’re a small amount of frame, but durable.
